Creative Pitch Deck
Genre: Psychological Drama
Status: In Production — Shooting August 2025
Role: Co-writer, Co-director & Producer
Directed by: Jennifer Downes & John Peña Griswold
Written by: Jennifer Downes & John Peña Griswold
Logline:
When a self-help ghostwriter is invited to live with a former client—an enigmatic life coach turned recluse—she uncovers a chilling manipulation that blurs the line between authorship and identity.
About the Project:
Autobiography is a slow-burning psychological thriller that shifts from grounded realism to unsettling suspense, echoing the tones of The Gift, Get Out, and The Invitation. Developed with a tightly focused cast and a single location, the film explores themes of control, authorship, and emotional mirroring.
As co-writer, I helped shape the script’s structure and tone across multiple drafts. As producer, I’m overseeing preproduction, budgeting, and coordination for our location-based shoot in New Jersey, scheduled for August 2025.
Inspiration & Tone:
Visual style: Naturalistic, practical lighting
Budget: $300,000
Aesthetic references: Parasite, Get Out, The Invitation

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference. Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
